MEET THE ARTIST
My name is Mari Ann Rebane. I am a young artist who walks the path that is guided by her heart. As a little girl, I was always doodling and drawing and as I grew older, art became a significant part of my life. I draw inspiration primarily from nature, and I have also completed a bachelor's degree in biology, which ironically gave me the final push to fully return to the art world.

My work combines dreamlike visions and still moments from nature, creating spaces where light, pauses for breath, and intuition intertwine with organic forms. My paintings are based on channeled symbolistic landscapes that come to me during meditative states. Through my paintings and prints, I aim to open possibilities for the viewer to step outside of time. Having studied biology, I am very interested in experimenting with recycled materials in printmaking. What fascinates me most about printmaking is its multi-dimensional and richness of nuance, where delving deeper feels like traveling through different worlds. My first encounter with printmaking left a deep impression on my journey, and I could never fully turn back from it. Over time, my inner knowledge has become clearer, and my passion for printmaking has solidified. The printing process, which may seem a bit tedious to some, is very magical to me, and I hope that this magic is conveyed in my artwork.
